Help Me Serve in Cuba this Summer
Dear Family and Friends,
Recently, an exciting opportunity was presented to me, and I’d like to share it with you. I am going to go to Ceiba Mocha, Cuba, from July 27th- August 2nd serving with Journey Community Church and Praying Pelican Missions to share the love of Christ with kids, teenagers, and adults! I will be traveling with other students from my church, and I ask that you would pray for me and my team as we pursue this adventure that God has called us to. Ceiba Mocha is a barrio located in the Matanzas region of Cuba, about 45 miles east of the capital Havana.

This summer, our missions team will be reaching out to the local people of Ceiba Mocha, Cuba by teaching vacation bible school, building relationships through sports ministry, helping with service projects, and engaging with families in the community through home visits. Christianity is practiced by only 5% of the population of Cuba, but the local church is on the move and at work leading souls to Jesus. I can’t wait to serve alongside the local church and aide them in their outreach!

Each team member is responsible for raising a portion of the trip’s cost. The entire cost of the trip is $1,500/ person. If you would like to partner with me as I prepare to go to Cuba, you can send a check to Journey Community Church and write “HS Cuba Missions” in the memo (please do not write my name anywhere on the check). When donating online please give my name to ensure I will benefit from your generosity.

All contributions are tax deductible. But most importantly, I ask that you would pray for my team and me before and during our trip!

God Bless,

Katelyn Davis

I have just graduated from high school and am moving on to college at Point Loma Nazarene University. Before I start school in the fall I am planning on traveling to various places, one being Cuba. I am excited about the opportunities I have this summer being able to serve both locally in San Diego and internationally!
